Opportunities for Getting Involved:
Family meetings are held once per month in the evening where we discuss issues related to raising teenagers, safety and social media use, trainings on student information system access (see PowerSchool), bullying, academic success, and other interests identified by family. Dinner is provided.
Twice per year, NCHSB opens our doors to families. Join us to meet your child’s teachers, tour the halls, and visit the classrooms.
Student Award Ceremonies:
Student success is measured by three important areas at NHCSB:
- Students must be motivated to succeed – attendance
- Students must be emotionally/socially ready – character
- Students must be academically prepared – schoolwork
8th Grade Graduation:
Celebrating the transition from middle school to high school, particularly at an Early College, is an important rite of passage for our students. Our 8th grade graduation is an important milestone and opportunity for recognition of the hardworking students in our school.
Family Game Night:
Join us at New Heights to eat dinner and play board games! A fun, social gathering to interact with your children’s friends and their families.
Special Education Parent Advisory Council:
The SEPAC will meet with families monthly to address concerns and develop community around special duration services at NHCSB.
Community Outreach Coordinator:
NHCSB has a dedicated staff member, Rob Connolly, who will work with community agencies to develop partnerships that are beneficial to our families. Please email him directly here with questions or comments.
New Heights is lucky to have a strong Parent Teaching Organization (PTO) to provide a platform for fundraising and family support for our school community.
Consider supporting New Heights with your time. We are always looking for family members to offer suggestions for Family Meeting presentations,
