New Heights Charter School is proud to welcome Courtney Valentine as the Boys Varsity Head Coach. Mr. Valentine brings over 20 years of coaching experience, including 14 years as a head coach at both MIAA Division 1 and Division 4 levels. During his coaching career he has built a reputation for developing disciplined, high-performing teams known for their suffocating defensive pressure and fast-paced offensive style—creating constant havoc for opposing teams.

“I look forward to continuing the winning tradition of New Heights Charter School and building on the strong foundation already in place,” said Coach Valentine. 

“Throughout his careers as a school counselor and basketball coach Mr. Valentine has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to understanding and developing the academic, social, and emotional support students need to thrive in a rigorous early college environment” said Athletic Director, Anthony Wright. “He recognizes and supports the importance of balancing athletics with college coursework through short and long-term goal setting. We believe this perspective will have a profound effect on the New Heights athletic department.”

We are excited for the energy, leadership, and competitive edge he will bring to our program. The basketball season is set to open December 10, 2026.
