Our graduates have a lot to say, and we’re listening!

New Heights Charter School of Brockton really does send students to college. Period. I wasn’t able to wrap my head around a statement like this until I was sitting in my first college class in the 9th grade. Since I was in the first college class offered by Massasoit Community College, I was able to experience these difficulties firsthand, especially being a 15-year-old in a college class. With the support from encouraging staff, my loving family, and my best friends I was able to make it through. Although this journey was not easy, it was definitely worth it. Now I’m a senior on my way to graduating with my high school diploma and my Associate’s Degree from Massasoit.

Where should I begin? Although my experience at New Heights Charter School of Brockton started on quite a rocky road, today I appreciate every opportunity this school offered. These past four years of my life have been full of academic success, lifelong friendships, great support systems, great education, and abundant happiness. I cannot imagine that any other school could provide this type of experience. I never thought I would be one who would stay after school spending time with my teachers and would miss attending school. I was able to take full-time college courses while in high school and, as a senior, I have received several acceptance letters from top universities, many scholarships, and much national recognition. Today I can say that because of New Heights Charter School, I am ready to be a full-time college student.
