Enrollment & Guidance Information
Hello Current Students and Families of New Heights Charter School,
Thank you for your interest and continued support in New Heights Charter School Brockton! Allow me to formally introduce myself as Enrollment & Guidance Counselor for your student. I am available to answer all of your questions and concerns as well as fulfill all enrollment & guidance needs. As our students are “growing” into their middle & high school years, New Heights have created a process for them to request letters of recommendations, copies of their middle & high school transcripts as well as their college transcript. To ensure all needs are met, I will be receiving such requests directly from the student in person, email or in writing ONLY. Parents are welcomed to check-in on the status of requests if needed.
In addition to the new procedure, it does require both student and parents to complete a “brag” sheet which your child can access outside of my office or by clicking on the PDF links below this message. This information is used to highlight the students accolades along with outlining other activities students participate in outside of school that we may not be aware of. In addition, students are restricted to the number of letters of recommendation requests to (3) each year. Students are responsible for working with guidance to submit the request to one teacher, and meet with guidance to review their grades, current courses and to discuss their future aspirations.
In order to fulfill all requests and to meet deadlines:
- For a Transcript Request, please allow 5-7 days (upon receipt of confirmation from me via email) for completion. During Enrollment Season (December -April) allow 7-14 days (upon receipt of confirmation via email). Please plan accordingly.
- For a Letter of Recommendation, please allow 7 days (from receipt of confirmation from me via email) to receive your letter. During Enrollment Season (December – April), allow 14-21 days (upon receipt of confirmation from me via email). Due to the overwhelming volume of requests, only 3 letters will be allowed per student per academic year. Please plan accordingly.
To submit such request (s), please click on the Guidance Form of your choice down below. Again, your student is also welcome to grab a copy outside of my office and or the main desk. Please email your completed request form in an attachment to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or submit in person. Please give me 24-48 hours to receive and respond to your request. Again, I ask that you remain patient during the peak time of Enrollment Season which is from December-April.
